Function Point Analysis (FPA) is a sizing measure of clear business significance. The FPA technique quantifies the functions contained within software in terms that are meaningful to the software users. It provides an objective, comparative measure that assists in the evaluation, planning, management and control of software production.
This course is designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of function point analysis and counting rules. This course focuses on function point counting techniques consistent with IFPUG Counting Practices Release 4.1.1. To enable the participants to fully comprehend the information taught and to gain experience in counting, several examples and a case study are included in this course.
Knowledge learned through this course equips the participant with the needed understanding of methods that may be applied towards better estimation, management and control of the software development, enhancement and maintenance processes.
